LA MESA, San Diego County — Volunteers have another opportunity to clean neighborhood streets on Saturday, November 7, 2026, when the city-supported Litter Free La Mesa program holds its final listed cleanup of the year along Riviera Drive.
The city’s recycling and environmental-services page schedules the volunteer event from 9 to 11 a.m. The effort is organized with I Love a Clean San Diego as one of six neighborhood litter cleanups listed for 2026.
How to join
Registration is required because spaces are limited. Prospective volunteers can find the event through I Love a Clean San Diego’s event calendar. The final meeting location, supplies, safety instructions, youth participation rules and weather-related updates should be obtained from the individual registration notice; the city’s overview identifies the general Riviera Drive area but not a universal check-in address.
Earlier 2026 events were listed around Murray Drive, the Alvarado Avenue drainage channel, Jackson Park, University Avenue and the area near the Salvation Army Kroc Center. Local cleanups can help prevent street litter from reaching storm drains and waterways while bringing residents together around visible neighborhood maintenance.
The November 7 event is upcoming as of this publication. California58 has not counted attendance or claimed a cleanup result.
